The biggest tell-tale (to me at least), is that the RWD cars in DiRT behave like RWD cars. All I'll say is I started with WRC10 and tried DiRT, and while DiRT was harder it made more intuitive sense to me personally. People can argue about the physics all day. The various modes aren't locked behind game progress. It's easy to set up multiplayer, it's easy to set up your wheel, it has VR support. Let's not even talk about graphics and sound - the game works. Why don't the liveries you make in career mode exist outside of career mode? Why are there so many copies of the same car and so little variety outside of that? Why does my car spawn rotated, or with damage if I restart mid-run? Why did my steering wheel suddenly set its max angle to 39 degrees randomly? Why does realistic damage still feel like my car is a Main Battle Tank in terms of durability?īetween 10 and DiRT Rally, DiRT Rally is easily the better game. Why don't the car settings have units or tool tips. The more you play the game and think about it, the more you'll ask "why is this the way it is". This is before even going into detail about the number of weirdly incomplete things in the game and the shear number of bugs you can experience. If you want to go with a WRC game, go with 9 The cars sound like vacuum cleaners in 10 for whatever reason. They really took a step backwards somehow. I have both and WRC9 is the superior game, period. Just look up comparisons between WRC9 and WRC10. ![]() If you do get 10, don't waste your money on the deluxe edition which really gets you next to nothing.Īs a game in and of itself, WRC10 is awful. I started with 10, then dove into DiRT, then tried 9. The better comparison is between 9 and DiRT Rally 2.0. ![]()
